Thinking of You, Two

Here you have my first successful attempt at using Flower Soft!! I had to have this stuff and in several colors, but could never achieve a look I was happy with. The secret? For me, less is more. Less glue and less Flower Soft. That is not how I was taught to use it, but the "cover-it-all" method just does not do it for me. I think you'll see more Flower Soft projects in my future now that we've made friends.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Thinking of You

I hope you think a quick post is better than none at all. My eyelids are getting heavy . . . This card is simple, but I'm happy to answer any questions.

Chain Letter - Blogger Style!

How exciting! Through Susan Raihala's blog post on "Simplicity" today, I have discovered some new friends in the card making world. Vicky at Clips-n-Cuts is celebrating her 100th post with a blog hop and everyone is invited to join. By adding a link to your blog, you will be linked to everyone's blog that is participating. Isn't that a wonderful way to meet some new rubber stamp enthusiasts? So here's the thumbnail collection and instructions (Go to the end of this post to add your blog - step 1- below):

New Home Congrats Card

I love patterned paper! LOVE it! And when it has rows of borders on one 12x 12 sheet, I can visualize a card. One such revelation came to me from the "Songbird" paper pad from DCWV that I picked up recently from Michael's. All glossy and glittery, I added a punched border of red glittered cs and stamped a background using the Hero Art's DesignBlock that's all clouds (named "Clouds"?) using PTI's Aqua Mist. (Note to self: Buy large ink pad in that color for future cloud backgrounds vs. using the tiny ink spot =) I added some white stitching along the bottom to mimic the stitching on the clouds and stamped the sentiment. I liked it so well I actually delayed sending it to the recipient so I could look at it a few days lol! Does anyone else ever do that?

That's it for today. Thanks so much to those of you leaving comments. It keeps me motivated to keep posting.

Easy, Peasy

I made a bunch of similar cards using these daisy embellishments from K & Co. I just embossed a background or added designer paper, stamped sentiments inside and out, added the daisies and ribbon, and I was done. Quick solution when needing a stack of cards quick.

I hope you enjoy today's posts. Comments welcome...wink

World's Best Husband

This is a card I created last year for my husband for Father's Day. I used a Gina K set (the name escapes me right now) and did not have my air compressor for the Copics yet (as you can probably tell) and was still practicing with the pens (ditto). Irl the blues match, but my attempts to correct that in Photoshop were not successful . . . oh well. It is what it is.

Thank you for stopping by today.

PTI, Impression Obsession and Flourishes

Post #2! Quite a combination of different companies' products, heh? I practiced coloring with Copics on these . . . still a work in progress, but I'm learning. I'd love to attend a Copic certification class someday.

ETA: Holy CATS! The baskets are upside down! Did not notice that in all the time I spent coloring. Oh well, pretend they're not upside down or stand on your head... but then the flowers are wonky =D The people that bought these didn't notice either I guess... or maybe they felt sorry for me lol

Playing Catch Up

Big {{{{HUGS}}}} to those of you still visiting my blog. I've been stamping and making cards like crazy in sunny Florida since mid-November, but have limited internet access with an old, irritatingly slow laptop. In addition, I've been selling quite a few cards to neighbors and at a couple of craft shows where I live. Such fun! Anyway, I did remember to take a few shots of some of my creations before they were gone and thought I'd share. Comments encouraged and most welcome =D
