HOLY FREAKIN' DIANE!!!!

Jen del Muro was not kidding when she described her blog candy for 400k hits as "GINORMOUS". I still cannot believe all the goodies I received Saturday from her. And I'm talking good stuff . . . really good stuff! Check out the picture . . . I had a difficult time getting it all in one shot. If you don't already, check out her blog. It is awesome . . . one of my very favorites. Her name above is linked to her blog.

Thanks, Jen! You ROCK!

SFYTT

It seems only appropriate that I use some of the GINORMOUS blog candy I won from Jen del Muro for this week's SFYTT. If you'd like to see what I received, it is in the post above.
This card uses some of the Basic Grey Infuse paper, Dew Drops and American Crafts ribbon Jen sent. The topiary is from PSX, and I colored it with Prismacolor pencils, shading the outside edge with Antique Linen distress ink.
Thanks for sharing part of your day with me, and thanks again, Jen. I'm totally blown away by your generosity.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Posts

With the exception of the Stampin' UP! kraft and brown card stock, the Walnut Stain Distress ink from Ranger and a Cuttlebug die, all products used are from Papertrey Ink.

If you would like to vote for me, here is the link for that http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1218

Enjoy, and thank you for stopping by!

Flower Pot Trio

This image is from Whipper Snapper, and I colored it with Prismacolor pencils. The orange paper is a scrap I found in my stash (Hanko Designs maybe?) and the base is black card stock. I shaded with Ranger Antique Linen Distress ink. Poly twill old olive ribbon from Stampin' UP! and black brads complete the card.

WSC44

For Beate's Sketch Challenge I used a new Whipper Snapper stamp I've had my eye on and finally made mine. I stamped it with Ranger Walnut Stain Distress ink and colored and shaded it with Prismacolor pencils, adding a few white highlights with a gel pen. The dp is all from Basic Grey and the stitched ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. A sentiment from the Wordsworth clear set called "Everyday Greetings" was added with a little crystal next to it. I'm very pleased with how this turned out . . . which gets my mojo revved. So check back later . . .

Love this week's sketch from Splitcoast. It's a layout I gravitate to even without a sketch. The image is from Picture Show, the designer paper is Basic Grey, the flower rhinestones are Heidi Swapp, and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I stamped the image with Ranger's Walnut Stain Distress Ink. This is a wonderful dark brown ink. I've really struggled with finding a brown ink that I like, and Jennifer McGuire recommended this on her blog. Coloring done with Prismacolors.

EAT cupCAKE!

I spent wa-a-a-a-y too much time on this card, and I'm not sure why. It just didn't come together as I envisioned, I guess. The cupcake stamp is from Whipper Snapper, Eat Cake from A Muse, and the Polka Dot stamp and card stock from Papertrey Ink. I used Stampin' UP! inks, Paper Studio Ribbon, Copics, Nestabilities Squares, Stickles, Glossy Accents, pop dots and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The idea first hatched when I realized the ribbon matched the Papertrey Ink aqua mist card stock. The polka dots inspired the birthday theme, and yada, yada . . . I see a simple, one layer card in my future . . .

Thank you for taking time to stop by today.

A DUH!! Moment

I've had this stamp from Stamps Happen for the longest time and have never used it because of its large size. The stamp is actually a window of 4 different pairs of tulips as panes in the window. Anyway, light bulb (or DUH!) moment . . . I don't have to use all four panes. So I colored this one with my Prismacolor pencils and matted it on SU chocolate chip and very vanilla card stock, added a piece of My Mind's Eye dp to a very vanilla card base, a strip of Paper Pizazz old world looking note paper, a strip of old olive cs scalloped and pierced on both sides and ribbon. The card stock layers and light ribbon were inked with Antique Linen distress ink. I colored the brads with a Copic marker.

Thank you for sharing a part of your day with me.

TWO Cards

Sorry for the lack of posts. We had a couple of spring-like days, and that puts me in cleaning mode.
The first card uses Stampin' UP's The Essence of Love and My Mind's Eye designer paper. The second card uses the bonus set from Papertrey Ink, "Simple Little Things". I haven't seen any posts using this set yet, so decided to give it some ink. There are some great sentiments in this set in a nice font, too. A fabulous bonus and much appreciated. If anyone would like to see the set, I can take a picture of the illustrations.
Thanks for stopping by today.

I guess Blogger is having issues . . . . It won't let me upload my pictures and says "try back later", so I'll try again in a little while.

Sunglass Alert!

I'm not sure about this one, but I worked on it too long not to post it. And sometimes the ones I don't like get more response than those I do, so here it is. I think the image is from Lasting Impressions with Panache. If someone knows otherwise please let me know. I colored the tulips with Prismacolor Pencils . . . not my best work . . . I just couldn't leave it alone. It needs more shading and shadows, and I may go back and add that, but I was ready to be done with this. KWIM?

Thank you for stopping by.

Simple Birdie Thank You

I love simple one layer cards. I wish you could see all the sparkle and shine on this card. The Inkadinkadoo image and $1 Michael's clear set sentiment are stamped in Memories black and the flowers colored with a combination of Stardust Gelly Roll pens (Did you know they come in beautiful colors now?!!!) and Copic Spica pens. The base card is from Papertrey Ink. So quick and fun. I plan to make several of these with different sentiments.

Have a great day!

AMuse Flowers With Card

I've had this card on my desk since I posted it a few days ago and finally took time to add a tag. Looks much better now imho. What do you think? The tag was created from a $1 Michael's clear set, stamped in Pumpkin Pie craft ink, clear embossed, and then punched out and tied on with linen thread.

Now it can go in my stack =D

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful day.

Colleen

Amuse Flower Bouquet

I bought this American Craft ribbon at Michael's the other day because I like the color combination. Little did I know I would spend most of the afternoon trying to make it work. It is not finished. I plan to add a small tag to the ribbon . . . it looks naked to me with no sentiment, but I wanted to get this posted. We are having storms, and I need to turn off the computer asap. If you need any details, I'll be happy to share.

Colleen

Friend

Well, I'm finally using some of my Papertrey Ink card stock. These colors are very "springy", and I love the heavy weight of the card stock . . . so nice to work with. The stamp is from a clear set by Inkadinkadoo and colored with Prismacolor pencils. A little black glaze pen, some ribbon and a PTI sentiment from the Beautiful Blooms set.

Thanks for taking time to stop by.

Colleen
