Pooh, So Happy For You

One of my favorite blogs to check daily is Susan Raihala's, Simplicity. I find myself drawn to her simple, one-layer (mostly) style, but have a difficult time adapting my creations to it. Having cut my card-making teeth drooling over Debbie Olson's masterpieces, my one-layer attempts usually leave me itching to add matted images, die cut borders and wonderful ribbon to "finish" them. So this week I'm participating in Susan's OLW6 Challenge - to create a one-layer card overlapping a sentiment and image. I adore this Pooh image from "All Night Media". I've had it for years and think it is perfect with this sentiment, so I'm very pleased with the result. I colored it with Copics, but without a lot of shading so it wouldn't bleed through. The sentiment is from a Basic Grey small clear set.

Thank you for stopping by today. I have another one layer card I may share later today.

Hugs,

Colleen

  6. This card doesn't need a single layer or anything else...perfect just as it is! I have that Pooh stamp too and never thought about using it this way. I guess I need that fab sentiment, LOL!
