I'm so happy I found some time to just play today! Susan's challenge this week "to use an egg or eggs on your one-layer card" got my mojo pumping. I pulled out this little used stamp from Magenta and colored it with Copics. Do you notice anything different in my coloring? I've been reading Marianne Walker's book "Shadows & Shading" and one of the things I've taken away from it is that there should be more contrast between the lightest and darkest areas of your image. So I tried to use a little more of the darkest and lightest
colors. I can see a difference, but I'm not sure the pictures pick it up. I added a little bling with my Spica clear glitter pen, and some "grass" with a few flicks of a Copic. I wish now I had masked the eggs and used a grass stamp, but oh well.

ReplyDeleteYeppers! I can see the contrast...more white showing in the center...like a spotlight shining on them front and center. And, gf, relax! That flicked grass is da bomb! VERY artistic...Marianne Walker, lookout...you've got some Copic competition coming on strong here!
